The Prismatic Landscape is a continuing exhibit of landscape paintings from Minnesota Artists. This group of artists all paint outside from life, (en plein air), this involves completing their paintings typically in one session out of doors.
To capture the fleeting light effects of nature, they utilize a range of colors called the Prismatic Palette. The idea is that in order to best reproduce the effect of sunlight, the colors of the prism are used to capture the atmosphere of outdoor light.
